Java Architect at Hyderabad for an Analytics & Product Development Company

Experience: 9-12 yrs

 

This person will work directly with Java development teams on multiple projects. They will have hands-on role expanding  SOA and assisting developers as they transition to WebSphere 8.5 from prior WebSphere versions.
 

Responsibilities:

• Designing and developing enterprise RESTful services on a WebSphere platform using Spring MVC in accordance with business requirements.
• Providing support and guidance to development teams on Java, WebSphere, and Spring.
• Participating in code reviews to ensure development teams are complying with Anixter standards and industry best practices.
• Using Atlassian JIRA to communicate status to project leads.
• Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• Prior experience with Spring 3.x, JSF 2.x, Spring MVC, REST, and IBM WebSphere 8.5.
• Experience with Atlassian Bamboo is a plus.
• Expert understanding of SOA and Object Oriented Analysis.

Web Application / Back-End Developers (Experience: 6+ Years to 9 Years)

• Responsibilities include design and hands-on development of solutions to complex problems in the cloud networking space.
• Understand SDLC, and different stakeholders for the product, i.e. Dev, QA, PLM, management, Support engineering org., customer, dev-ops.
• Understand the given functional description, investigate and evaluate the possible solutions, suggest the best suited approach, basically own feature end-to-end.
• Take care of scalability at every step of design, development.
• Good verbal communication within the local teams, and written communication with distributed team, and other stakeholders w.r.t. given task.
• Provide quick fixes to the reported problem from the field. 

REQUIREMENTS

• Developing web applications with Python - experience using MVC frameworks like Django/Flask is a plus
• Experience using and developing with SQL databases
• Experience developing RESTful APIs for complex data sets
• Good knowledge of algorithms and data structures 
• Understanding of Operating system, i.e. able to work and debug on Unix like systems 
• Should have good problem solving skills
• Strong exposure to one of the three areas mentioned below is a must
• Python, or any scripting knowledge
• Exposure to development in cloud environment, or horizontally scaled system, or web services, or service oriented architecture
• Understanding of Networking, development experience for large NMS systems for wireless networks.
• Experience in message queues and data marshaling frameworks is highly desired
• Ability to work on the client side technologies in HTML/CSS/Javascript is a big plus
• Real world experience working with large datasets and NoSQL database technologies is a big plus
• Self-starter, startup experience is a plus. Ability to work in an extremely dynamic and fast paced environment.
• Worked on cloud based application development is highly desired
• Knowledge/experience with big data analytics and applications

UI/Front-End Developers (Experience: 5+ Years to 9 Years)

• Responsible for taking ownership of management web interface using object-oriented JavaScript, various JavaScript libraries, HTML, and CSS. Translate designs and style guides into functional user interfaces, ensuring cross browser compatibility, performance and robustness.
• Assume full control of HTML/CSS, maintaining code organization and cleanliness that support an array of web browsers (Safari; Chrome; Firefox; Internet Explorer) using the latest web standards and best practices
• Perform complete unit-testing.
• The candidate must display excellent written and oral skills with demonstrated interpersonal and organization abilities.
• A candidate for this position must be able to work in a varied, fast paced environment.

REQUIREMENTS

• Well versed in Web.2.0 technologies including html, javascript (Angular), css, AJAX, xml, RESTful APIs.
• Javascript: master the object oriented aspect of javascript and should be aware of JSON.     Experience using javascript MVC frameworks highly desired
• Experience with iteration of products (add/remove/modify features) based on iteration goals and inbound marketing and analytics
• DHTML: can handcode pages with dynamic displayable components.
• XML: define/design XML given a problem and able to parsing and traversing the XML programmatically
• CSS: capability to define/design flexible, reusable styles as per given mockups
• Jquery: able to deploy existing and define new and reusable jquery components
• Ability and Desire to learn new upcoming technologies, framework w.r.t. frontend
